Under the artistic leadership of Mindaugas Bačkus, for several years the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra has been involved in the annual master classes and concert series dedicated to the historically-informed performance of Baroque music. Quite a few of these concerts called upon distinguished experts in this field who performed and shared their knowledge with the orchestra. This concert, Bačkus revealed, will likewise feature musicians who devote most of their time to the research of Baroque music, promotion and dissemination of performance traditions.” Baroque cello experts Bruno Cocset and Viola de Hoog, together with harpsichordist Menno van Delft, will join the orchestra in the performance of less frequently heard Baroque masterpieces played on authentic period instruments and in deep-felt compliance with the styles and techniques practiced in the given period.
